Dustforce: Cleaning Simulator

There was a wave of hard as nails and stylish two dimensional platformers that emerged in the wake of Super Meat Boy for the Xbox 360. They came in all shapes and sizes, with all kinds of styles and hooks to them. One of my personal favourites was Dustforce which originally released on PC before moving to Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita. The game features four characters each with their own unique moveset, strengths and weaknesses.

The game itself is about jumping, leaping and sprinting through a number of beautifully designed levels cleaning up leaves and dust. It sounds a little lame, but the reality is much better. You earn points and chains for the speed with which you traverse the levels and with how well you chain together the cleaning aspects of the game. As an interesting side note I was featured in the Total Biscuit “Let’s Play” video for Dustforce at the top of one of the leaderboards!
